Technical specs are the thing that half of people base their purchase decision on, while the other half falls asleep halfway through reading them. Belonging to either camp is perfectly acceptable. Here's a rundown of what's in the Valco lineup and what each product is meant for – without the marketing waffle.
Over-ear headphones
We've got four over-ear models. All wireless, all repairable.
- VMK25.2 – The flagship. Looks the same as its predecessor the VMK25 on the outside, but the internals have been overhauled. ANC, Bluetooth, AUX input. This is the one funding most of the Death Star.
- VMK25 – The predecessor. Still excellent. If you find these on sale somewhere, that's a solid deal.
- VMK20 – Fabric-covered ANC headphones. A bit more affordable, but no compromises on sound quality. The fabric feels comfy and doesn't make you sweat like faux leather does.
- VMK15 – The most affordable over-ear model. If the budget's tight but you want proper headphones, this is your pick.
All over-ear models have a sound profile handcrafted by Jasse. In practice, that means music sounds the way it's supposed to – no bass hammering, no treble circus, just balanced sound.
In-ear headphones
- NL25 – Wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation. Small, lightweight, ANC on. Pop these in your ears and the world goes quiet. At least partially.
- NL21 – The basic model without ANC. If you don't need noise cancellation or want to save a few quid, this one gets the job done.
The sound on the earbuds is tuned in Kajaani too. The factory is in China, but the brains are in Finland.
Speakers
- Nordell MK3 – IPX7 waterproof Bluetooth speaker. Survives being dunked in water. Stereo pairing with two speakers is supported. Perfect for the beach, the sauna, and that dodgy kebab stand.
- Nordell Max – Big portable speaker with RGB lights and bass/treble controls. For when you need more decibels than common sense.
- Nordell Micro – Small and lightweight. IPX6 rated, mono speaker. Fits in your pocket. Sounds bigger than it looks.
Detailed specs
The nitty-gritty technical details for every product – frequency responses, battery life, weights, driver sizes, and everything else a numbers nerd could want – can be found directly on the product pages at valco.fi. That's where they're kept up to date, unlike some support article that everyone forgets to update.
