You ordered NL25 earbuds and realized three minutes later that the address is wrong. Or you actually wanted a different color. Or your ex accidentally ordered two units. A familiar situation. The good news: this can be fixed. The bad news: you have to be faster than our warehouse team.
Why can’t you change an order yourself?
We don’t have an “edit order” button in our online store. Not because we’re lazy (well, maybe a little), but because the order system starts processing your order the moment you press “pay.” Automation is great—until you want to undo what the automation is doing.
In practice, the order moves to the packing stage quite quickly, and once the package is in the hands of Posti or another courier, we can’t do anything to it anymore. Posti doesn’t listen to us. Posti doesn’t listen to anyone.
How to change an order
- Act immediately. Time is money, and in this case, literally your money.
- Send an email to info@valco.fi. Tell us in the message:
- Order number (found in the order confirmation)
- What you want to change (address, product, color, quantity, size — whatever went wrong)
Wait for our reply before panic sets in. We usually reply the same day on weekdays.
If the order hasn’t left the warehouse yet, the change will go through. If the order is already on its way, things get a bit more complicated — but not impossible.
If the order has already shipped
Here are the options:
- Wrong address: You can try to reroute the package via Posti’s OmaPosti service to another pickup point. Unfortunately, we can’t change the address once the package has been sent.
- Wrong product or you want to cancel: Accept the package and return it. We offer a 30-day return policy. Return instructions come with the order confirmation, or ask us.
- You ordered two when you wanted one: Same deal — return the extra unit and we’ll refund you.
A return isn’t a punishment. It’s just part of life.
If that doesn’t help
If something gets tangled — email doesn’t work, the order number is lost, or the situation is otherwise messy — send a message to info@valco.fi and explain the situation in your own words. We’ll sort it out. We’re a 14-person company, so a real human will read your message. Most likely over a cup of coffee.
And remember: every order funds our Death Star by about 0.000001 percent. Even if you change your order, the percentage remains. Thank you for your contribution to galactic peace.
