How long does delivery take?
Money's left your account, order confirmation hit your inbox, and now you're staring out the window at your mailbox. We know the feeling. Let's walk through what happens between placing your order and that glorious unboxing moment.
Delivery times in Finland
If the product is in stock – and it usually is – we ship it out within 1 business day. After that, it's in the hands of the postal service or courier, and our power doesn't extend that far.
In practice:
- Finland: 1-3 business days from order
- Rest of Europe: 5-10 business days
- Rest of the world: 7-14 business days, depending on how far away you live and how your local postal service is feeling
Business days mean business days. An order placed on Friday evening ships on Monday at the earliest. We don't control the flow of time – yet.
Why might delivery take longer?
Sometimes a product is temporarily out of stock. In that case, the webshop will show an estimated delivery time, and it may be longer. We'll tell you straight up if you'll need to wait.
Other reasons for delays:
- Postal strikes or random holidays – not our fault, but we totally understand the frustration
- Customs – packages heading outside the EU may get held up in customs. Customs fees and taxes are unfortunately the recipient's responsibility.
- Christmas season and Black Friday – the logistics chain gets clogged up like a motorway at rush hour
- We screwed up – rarely, but if it happens, we'll tell you straight up
Tracking number
When your package ships, you'll get a tracking number by email. Use it to see where your package is. If the tracking doesn't update for a couple of days, don't panic – couriers update their tracking with varying levels of enthusiasm.
Cancelling an order
If the delivery time doesn't work for you and you want to cancel, that's possible as long as the package hasn't been shipped yet. Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 3-5 business days. Drop us a message at info@valco.fi with your order number and we'll sort it out.
If the package is already on its way, you can of course return it once you receive it – the 14-day return policy applies to all webshop orders.
If your package has gone missing
If your tracking number hasn't updated in a week or the package doesn't arrive within a reasonable time, get in touch with us. We'll sort it out with the courier. You don't have to call the postal service and listen to the worst hits compilation of hold music.
