Paying shouldn't be rocket science, but sometimes it feels like it. Especially when there are many options and each has its quirks. Let's go through how things work in Valco's online store – and what to do if an order needs to be canceled or returned.
Payment methods in the online store
In Valco's online store (valco.fi) you can pay for your order in the following ways:
- Online bank payment – Finnish banks (Nordea, OP, Danske, etc.). The payment leaves your account immediately.
- Card payment – Visa, Mastercard. Traditional and reliable.
- Klarna – Invoice or installments. Somehow those child support payments and the Death Star have to be financed, so paying in installments is a perfectly understandable choice.
- MobilePay – Fast and easy.
At checkout, choose your preferred method, follow the instructions through to the end, and you'll receive an email confirmation. If the confirmation doesn't arrive, check your spam folder. Email can be temperamental sometimes.
Klarna payment and its specifics
Klarna is a popular choice, but it raises the most questions – especially in cancellation and return situations.
- Installments: Klarna bills you in installments. If you cancel the order, Klarna will automatically cancel the remaining installments once we process the cancellation.
- Invoice: Do not pay the invoice if you are returning a product. Report the return to Klarna in their app or on their website, and they will freeze the invoice.
- Refund: After the return is processed, the refund goes back the same route the payment came from. Klarna will handle their part once we confirm the return.
In short: you don't need to call Klarna separately. We'll notify them, and the money will come back.
Order cancellation or return
If you want to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, send us a message at info@valco.fi along with your order number. The sooner, the better – parcels usually leave the warehouse pretty quickly.
If the order has already arrived and you want to return the product:
- Contact us at info@valco.fi and provide your order number
- You'll receive return instructions and the address to which you'll send the product
- Pack the product in the original packaging (or equivalent, as long as it's protected)
- Ship it and send us the tracking number
The return address is in Kajaani. Not in Helsinki, not in Tampere – in Kajaani. That's where Jasse and the rest of the team receive the parcel.
Order confirmation and tracking
Once the order is paid, you'll receive a confirmation by email. When the parcel ships, you'll get another message with a tracking link. Keep both messages – the order number is handy if you need help later.
If something's off
If the payment doesn't go through, the confirmation doesn't arrive, or Klarna shows something weird, don't sit there wondering. Send us a message at info@valco.fi and we'll sort it out. Tell us your order number and what went wrong, and we'll get it fixed.
