Discount codes and gift cards are both nice things, but there's one rule about combining them that's worth knowing before you get to checkout. Let's go through the whole package.
Using a discount code
- Add products to your cart normally at valcoaudio.com.
- At checkout there's a field for the discount code. Type the code in and hit apply.
- The discount shows up in the total right away. If it doesn't, the code didn't go through. Check the spelling and the expiry date.
Codes are single-use or campaign-specific, and they have an expiry date. An expired code won't work no matter how much you rub it.
Using a gift card
A gift card works as a payment method at checkout: enter the gift card code, and its value gets deducted from the total. If your purchase costs more than the card, you can pay the rest normally. If it costs less, the remaining balance stays on the card for next time.
Can you combine a discount code and a gift card?
No. On the same order you use either a discount code or a gift card, not both. This isn't us being difficult, it's a checkout system rule, and honestly, it's also the line that makes sure something actually stays in the Death Star fund.
If you have both, it's usually smart to:
- Use the discount code on the purchase where the discount is worth the most in euros
- Save the gift card for your next order: gift cards don't expire, at least not for now, unlike campaign codes
Code not working? Check these
- Spelling: zero vs. the letter O, a stray extra space at the end (a classic copy-paste move)
- Expiry: campaign codes do expire
- Trying to combine it with a gift card? That won't work, pick one
- Does the code only apply to certain products? Campaign codes can be product-specific
If none of that explains it
Email us at info@valco.fi before placing the order. Tell us the code and what checkout says. We'll look into it, and if the problem was on our end, we'll sort it out. We won't leave a promised discount hanging.
