Your order is placed, the money has left your account, but the package seems to have vanished into a black hole. Familiar feeling. Usually it’s not that your package is roaming around the world aimlessly – it’s that the tracking information is hiding in the wrong place.
Where are the tracking details hiding?
When your order leaves the warehouse, we send you an email with a tracking link. This message goes to the same address you used to place the order.
The problem is that email apps are unpredictable creatures. The tracking message often ends up in:
- Spam folder – Gmail especially likes to hide order confirmations there
- Promotions tab – Gmail’s "Promotions" folder swallows anything that smells commercial
- The wrong address – if you mistyped your email when ordering, the message went to some unknown lucky person
Search your email for "Valco" or "tracking". It usually turns up.
How to find the tracking details
- Check your email – look for a message titled "Your order has been sent" or "Your order has been shipped". Remember spam and promotions folders.
- Log in to your order history – go to https://valco.fi online store, sign in, and open your order. The tracking link is shown on the order details page.
- Order confirmation – if you didn’t create an account when ordering, check the original order confirmation email. It contains a link to the order tracking page.
- Click the tracking link – the link takes you straight to the carrier’s page, where you can see the package’s location.
A small note: tracking information doesn’t update immediately. The carrier may show "Shipment information not found" for a day or two after you receive the tracking number. This is normal. Posti and other carriers update their data at their own pace – and that pace isn’t always the fastest.
If you can’t find the tracking details
If you just placed the order, patience. We process orders on business days and send the tracking details only when the package actually starts moving. We don’t send fake tracking numbers just for good vibes.
If more than three business days have passed since the order and there’s no sign of tracking details anywhere:
- Send us a message at info@valco.fi
- Tell us your order number (found in the order confirmation, in the form #12345 or similar)
- We’ll dig up the tracking details and tell you where your package is
If the package is already with the carrier but the tracking isn’t updating, the issue is usually on the carrier’s side. Posti’s tracking system is sometimes a bit like a crystal ball – it shows something when it feels like it. But the package will get delivered.
