Yes, you read that right. The side panels, or skins, for VMK25 and VMK25.2 headphones can be printed yourself, completely free of charge. If you own a 3D printer or know someone who does, this is for you.
We offer a ready-made 3D model that you can download as a ZIP package and print. The end result can be subtle or completely over the top, depending on your taste.

The ZIP includes 3D models of the VMK25 side panels in two versions:
- With Valco logo
- Without logo (a clean base for remixes and your own designs)
The models fit both VMK25 and VMK25.2 headphones. The files are intended for personal use and your own customization.
Magnets
For this, you need 5.5 x 1.5 mm neodymium magnets. If 1.5 mm height is hard to find, 2 mm will also work. Magnets are available from craft stores, hardware stores, and online in packs of ten for a few euros.
A smaller diameter will also work, but then the magnets need to be glued into the recesses so they stay in place. 5.5 mm magnets fit by pressing them in.
Check the polarity before installation, otherwise the cover will not close no matter how much force you use. And that would be stupid.
Finishing
Panels straight from the printer are a bit rough. Sandpaper, paint, fabric, leather, or any other coating will completely change the final result. That is the whole point of this.
If something goes wrong
