Can you order pizza with VMK25 headphones?
Short answer: yes. Long answer: yes, but not the way you think.
VMK25 headphones have a microphone and a Bluetooth connection to your phone. Your phone has a phone app. The pizzeria has a phone number. The math is on your side.
How to order a pizza with the VMK25
- Press the multifunction button twice — your phone will call the last dialed number
- If you last called your mom, you'll get mom's cooking instead of pizza. That works too.
- If you specifically want to call the pizzeria, use your phone’s voice assistant: hold the multifunction button for 2 seconds and Siri or Google Assistant will wake up
- Say "Call [pizzeria name]"
- Order a pizza
- Wait 30–45 minutes
This is honestly one of the most useful features of the VMK25. You don't need to dig your phone out of your pocket. In winter in Oulu, that means your fingers won’t freeze. In summer it means you don't have to lift your butt off the couch.
What about directly from the headphones without a phone?
No. The VMK25 does not include a SIM card, GPS tracking, or an AI-based pizza-ordering system. Yet.
There’s a dedicated budget line on the Death Star for pizza-ordering firmware, but Jasse said he’ll update it "as soon as he gets the EQ curves just right." Jasse has said this every month since 2022.
Which pizzas work best with the VMK25?
Jasse’s official recommendation is quattro formaggi, because "cheese dampens ambient noise about as effectively as ANC." We have not verified this claim. We don’t intend to.
Pepperoni performs well across all frequencies. Pineapple is a matter of taste — just like boosting the bass frequencies in the EQ. Some swear by it; others consider it a crime against humanity.
The serious part
Double-pressing the multifunction button calls the last dialed number. A long press activates the phone’s voice assistant. These really work, and they’re handy — whether it’s a pizza order, a call, or an emergency number.
If the pizza still doesn’t arrive, the headphones aren’t at fault. The problem is with the pizzeria. Or Posti.
