So you ordered your VMK20s, paid up like a good citizen, and now you're waiting like a kid on Christmas Eve – but the package doesn't seem to be going anywhere. We get it. International logistics is a bit like a queue at a British pub on a bank holiday: everyone knows where they're headed, but sometimes you just stand there for no apparent reason.
Why does shipping take so long?
We ship all orders from Finland. A small 14-person company in Oulu, not some Amazon warehouse in Central Europe. That means a few things:
- Processing time is 1–3 business days. Sometimes faster, sometimes slower – depends on whether the warehouse is swamped or not.
- International shipping typically takes 5–14 business days. To Europe it's usually around a week, further afield can take up to two.
- Customs slows things down sometimes. When shipping outside the EU, your package can get held up in customs. There's nothing we can do about that, no matter how hard we work on building that Death Star.
- Tracking updates are slow. Your package might already be on the move, even if the last tracking event says "shipped from Finland" three days ago. Postal systems in different countries don't always talk to each other in real time.
So in short: your package is moving, but the world is a big place and logistics isn't always the fastest sport.
How to check what's going on
- Dig up your tracking number. You'll find it in your order confirmation email.
- Check tracking directly on the carrier's website. The tracking link on Valco's site will point you to the right place.
- Wait at least 14 business days from the shipping date. Yeah, we know, waiting sucks. But for international shipments, this is a normal timeframe.
- Check if customs has sent you a message. Outside the EU, customs may request additional information or payment before releasing your package. Check your email and your physical mailbox.
If none of that helps
If nothing has happened in tracking for 14 business days, or your package seems to have vanished somewhere in the direction of the Bermuda Triangle, drop us a message:

We'll work with the carrier to figure out where your package is lurking. If it's genuinely lost, we'll send a new one. We're not going to leave you without your headphones – after all, someone's gotta fund those child support payments and Ferraris, so we want you to get your order too.
Patience is a virtue, but after 14 days it's just unnecessary heroism. Get in touch and we'll sort it out.
