We want money. That's the whole point. You get the headphones, we get money for the Death Star – everybody wins. But first the payment needs to be taken care of, and it's good that it's no more complicated than the line at a hot dog stand.
How does payment work?
Once you've added the VMK20 to your cart in the valco.fi online store, proceed to checkout. There you'll find the payment options and choose the one that suits you.
Basically, all the ways a Finn is used to parting with their money are available:
- Online bank – Nordea, OP, Danske, S-Pankki, Handelsbanken, Aktia, POP, Säästöpankki, Oma Säästöpankki, Ålandsbanken. If you have a Finnish bank account, you'll find it on the list.
- Card payment – Visa and Mastercard. Enter your card details and approve the payment. Works like everywhere else.
- MobilePay – Handy if the phone is already in your hand. Which it is, always.
- Installments – If 99 euros at once feels like a lot, you can split it into smaller parts. At checkout you'll see the installment options and their terms. We have to fund our Ferraris and child support somehow, but it doesn't have to be all at once.
- Invoice – Pay later, if you trust yourself that much.
The payment processor is Paytrail or Klarna depending on the situation, so your money reaches us safely.
How to pay in practice
- Go to valco.fi and add the VMK20 to your cart
- Click the cart and proceed to checkout
- Fill in the delivery address and contact details
- Choose the delivery method
- Choose a payment method – click the option you want
- Follow the payment processor's instructions to the end
- Wait for the confirmation email – it will arrive in a few minutes
Important: do not close the browser during the payment process. If the page keeps loading or kicks you back to the store, the payment may not have gone through. Check your email – if no confirmation arrived, the order likely did not succeed.
If the payment doesn't go through
Sometimes payment stalls. It's annoying, but the reason is usually mundane:
- Online bank timed out – You were too slow. Log in again and try a bit faster.
- Card declined – Check that the card hasn't expired and that online purchases are allowed. Some banks require a separate approval.
- Browser acting up – Try another browser or clear the cache. An incognito window helps surprisingly often.
- Installments not available – The credit decision is made automatically. If it doesn't go through, try another payment method.
If the order seems to have been left unfinished, you can start it over. There will be no double charges – an incomplete payment is automatically canceled.
