When to reset?
A reset is worth doing when:
- The earbuds won't connect to your phone
- Only one earbud connects
- The sound is odd or muddy
- The touch panel doesn't respond
- The earbuds are otherwise acting strangely
Resetting isn't dangerous: it just clears all Bluetooth pairings and restores the default settings. And that case button many guides tell you to press? It only shows the case's battery level. It doesn't reset anything.
Reset steps
1. Place both earbuds in the charging case.
2. Plug the charging cable into the case.
3. Press and hold the touch panel on both earbuds for about 5 seconds.
4. The blue light flashes once: the pairing memory has been cleared.
5. Release the panels.
6. Take the earbuds out of the case: they will enter pairing mode.
After the reset
1. Remove "NL21" from your phone's Bluetooth settings (forget the device).
2. Open the charging case lid: the earbuds power on and enter pairing mode.
3. Find "NL21" in your phone's Bluetooth settings and connect again.
4. Test that both earbuds play audio and the touch panel works.
