So the situation is that you have a credit code from the old VMK20 headphones in your hand, the new VMK25.2s are waiting in the cart, but the online store says no. Annoying. Understandably.
This isn’t about us wanting to keep your money and your headphones. We just want your money—you’ll get the headphones in exchange.
Why doesn’t the code work?
VMK25.2 is technically a different product than VMK25, even though they look almost identical on the outside. The guts have been updated: Bluetooth 5.4, longer battery life, improved frequency response, and so on. The online store’s system treats them as two different products.
If your credit code was created when the original VMK25 was still in the lineup, the code is most likely tied to that exact product. When VMK25 was discontinued and VMK25.2 replaced it, the code didn’t automatically update to cover the new model. This is a system limitation, not deliberate malice—even though I know it may feel that way.
How to proceed
- Check the code’s validity. Credit codes usually have an expiration date. If the code has expired, it won’t work for any product.
- Try the code as-is. Enter the code exactly as it is—uppercase and lowercase letters, no extra spaces. Sometimes the problem is that simple.
- Check the code’s terms. If you received the code by email, check the message to see which products it’s limited to. If it says "VMK25," then it won’t be accepted for VMK25.2 without us stepping in.
- Contact us. If the code is valid but doesn’t accept VMK25.2, send a message to info@valco.fi. Tell us your order number and your credit code, and we’ll update the code to work for the new model. Or give you a new code. Or something else creative. We’ll figure it out.
If that doesn’t help
If the code has expired or something else goes wrong, still send a message to customer support. We’re not the kind of company that hides behind the fine print and says "unfortunately, according to the terms, we can’t." We’ll look at what we can do case by case. We’re a 14-person company—an actual human reads your message and makes the decision, not an algorithm.
Email: info@valco.fi
Mention in your message:
- Credit code
- Original order number (if you remember)
- That you want the VMK25.2
And by the way—good choice upgrading from VMK20 to VMK25.2. From Bluetooth 5.0 to 5.4, from 40 mm drivers to 45 mm composites, battery life from 45 hours to 55 hours. It’s like switching from a Lada to… well, not a Ferrari, but at least something that gets on the highway without heart palpitations. We’ll buy that Ferrari with your money later.
