Multipoint is a handy feature – until it isn't. Then you're sitting in a meeting, your phone rings, your laptop starts playing its own tunes, and nothing connects to anything. Take a breath. The NL25 absolutely supports simultaneous connection to two devices, but sometimes the Bluetooth gods demand a little ritual before they agree to cooperate.
What went wrong?
Bluetooth multipoint means your earbuds maintain a connection to two devices at the same time. You can listen to music on your laptop and answer a call on your phone without re-pairing. Handy.
The problem usually comes down to three things:
- Multipoint isn't turned on. On the NL25, multipoint needs to be activated separately. It's not on by default, because not everyone wants it.
- Pairing got confused. If you reset the buds or they lost connection, they may have forgotten one of the devices entirely. Bluetooth is a bit like a goldfish – short memory.
- One device grabbed the connection first and the earbuds stopped looking for another one. Especially if you've got multiple devices saved, the buds will pick the first two that respond – and those aren't necessarily the ones you wanted.
How to fix it
Let's start with a clean slate. It's the fastest way.
- Do a factory reset:
- Put both buds in the case
- Open the lid (don't take the buds out)
- Press and hold the case button for 5 seconds
- The case light flashes – the buds are now reset
- Pair with the first device:
- Take the buds out of the case – they'll automatically enter pairing mode
- Search for "NL25" in your phone's or laptop's Bluetooth settings and connect
- Wait until the connection is stable and audio works
- Activate multipoint and pair with the second device:
- Turn off Bluetooth on the first device for a moment (this is the crucial trick)
- Put the buds back in the case and take them out again – they'll go into pairing mode since they can't find the first device
- Connect to the second device
- Turn Bluetooth back on on the first device
- Now both should be connected
- Double-check: Play music from one device and switch to the other. If both work, you're golden.
If that doesn't help
If multipoint still won't work after a reset, check a couple of things:
- Firmware update: Make sure your NL25 is running the latest software. Older versions may have had multipoint issues.
- Bluetooth lists on your devices: Remove NL25 from the Bluetooth memory on both devices completely and re-pair from scratch. Sometimes old pairing data messes things up.
- A third device is interfering: If the buds have been paired with a third device that happens to be nearby, they might connect to that one instead of the one you want. Turn off Bluetooth on any extra devices while pairing.

Bluetooth is a brilliant invention – except when it isn't. But we'll get there.
