So you have VMK25 headphones and your eyes have started to wander toward newer models. Understandable. VMK25 is an excellent pair of headphones, but VMK25.2 brought improvements that make the old model look a bit like comparing a Commodore 64 and a 128. Both work, but you do like to upgrade.

How does the trade-in work?
At Valco, we believe that used headphones don’t belong in a landfill. That’s why we accept old headphones and give you credit toward the price of a new pair. In practice, it goes like this:
- Contact customer support at info@valco.fi
- Tell us which model you have (in this case VMK25) and which model you want to switch to
- We will tell you the amount of the credit and the instructions for sending the device
- You send the old headphones to us, we send you a discount code.
The amount of credit depends on the model of the headphones. In all honesty: we won’t pay a king’s ransom for them, but you’ll still get more than by tossing them in a box to gather dust.
What should you send along?
Send along everything you have with the headphones:
- Headphones (surprising, I know)
- Carrying case, if you still have it
- AUX cable and USB-C charging cable, if you have them
- Side panels, if you have spares
If the pads are worn out and look like a dog has used them as chew toys, they’ll likely go to recycling. That’s fine. Our service team in Kajaani goes through every returned headphone and salvages everything that can be saved. The electronics, drivers and other parts get a new life in refurbished devices.
What do I get in exchange?
VMK25.2 is the natural upgrade path from VMK25. Externally they look practically the same, but a lot has happened inside:
- Bluetooth 5.4 (instead of the previous 5.1) – a more stable connection
- 55 hours of battery life with ANC on – five hours more than VMK25
- 95 hours of talk time – you can stay on the phone until your friends stop answering
- Improved frequency response – Jasse has tuned the sound to be even more balanced
- Wireless boom microphone available as an accessory
In practice, you get a better pair of headphones and we put your old device to good use. Everybody wins.

- Your current model (VMK25)
- Your desired model (e.g., VMK25.2)
- Order number, if you remember it
- A brief description of the headphones’ condition
We’ll reply and tell you the amount of the credit. No need to call, queue, or fill out five forms. One email is enough.
