Your finger slipped, the order went through, and only then did you start reading the product details. Or maybe you did read them, but some feature wasn’t what you thought it would be. A familiar situation. We don’t judge — after all, we’ve bought things online while drunk ourselves.
Good news: you can cancel the order. Bad news: time is money — and in this case, speed, too.
The order hasn’t shipped yet
If the order hasn’t left the warehouse yet, it’s easy. Send a message to info@valco.fi and tell us:
- Your order number (you’ll find it in the order confirmation email)
- That you want to cancel the order
- A reason, if you want to share one — not required, but it helps us make better products
We’ll cancel the order and the money will be refunded via the same payment method you used. Period. No questionnaires, no guilt-tripping, no “are you sure?” pop-ups.
The order is already on its way
If the package is already in Posti’s (or another courier’s) hands, cancellation is no longer possible. But no worries — you have a 14-day right of return from the delivery date. We follow the rules of distance selling by the book.
Here’s how returns work:
- Send a message to info@valco.fi and ask for return instructions
- We’ll send you the return address
- Pack the speaker in the original packaging (or equivalent, as long as the device is protected)
- Send the package to us
- The money will be refunded once we have received the product
Unfortunately, you’ll have to pay the return shipping costs. That’s just how distance selling law works.
Before you cancel — check these
If the reason for canceling is a specific feature, make sure it’s not a misunderstanding. The Nordell MK3 has a few things that commonly cause confusion:
- 3D sound mode is a DSP effect that works only in single-speaker use. It doesn’t work in a stereo pair. This is normal, not a defect.
- Stereo pairing requires two MK3 speakers. With a single speaker, you’ll get mono — though a very competent one at 20 watts.
- Frequency response 80–18,000 Hz means the very deepest bass won’t be reproduced. You can’t turn a portable speaker into a subwoofer, no matter how much you’d like.
If one of these was the reason, to be frank — these are limitations of physics and engineering, not shortcomings. But if the product simply isn’t right for you, then it isn’t. Better to return it than let it collect dust on a shelf.
If that doesn’t help
If you don’t get a reply to your email within 24 hours, try again. Our support page form has occasionally thrown 404 errors (we know, thanks to those who told us), so email is the most reliable channel.
And if you decide to keep the speaker after all — welcome to the ranks of Death Star funders. Every order takes us 0.000001% closer to the goal.
