Check the battery first
The most common reason a Nordell Max won’t turn on is a flat battery. Yes, we know — this sounds obvious. But trust us, 90% of these cases are solved by charging.
1. Connect the USB-C charging cable to the speaker.
2. Plug the other end into a working charger (a wall charger, not a computer USB port).
3. Wait at least 30 minutes.
4. Try to turn the speaker on by holding the power button for a long press (3–5 seconds).
If charging doesn’t help
If the speaker still doesn’t come to life after charging, try the following:
- Try a different USB-C cable. The cable may be faulty.
- Try a different charger. Make sure the charger works by testing it with your phone, for example.
- Check the charging port: is there dust or debris in it? Blow gently or use a toothpick carefully.
- Try a reset: hold the power button for 15 seconds even if the speaker appears to be off.
Water damage
The Nordell Max is water-resistant, but not waterproof. If the speaker has got thoroughly wet (swimming pool, heavy rain), let it dry completely before charging.
Never charge a wet speaker — it can permanently damage the device. Let the speaker dry for 24–48 hours in a warm room before trying to charge or turn it on.
