Physical controls
The Nordell Max has two separate controls on top of the speaker: BASS and TREBLE. This is fairly rare for a Bluetooth speaker of this size, so make the most of it!
The BASS control handles low frequencies. Turn clockwise for more thump, counter-clockwise if the bass feels too dominant.
The TREBLE control handles high frequencies. Turn clockwise for a brighter, more detailed sound, counter-clockwise if the sound feels too sharp.
Recommended settings
For music: Start with both controls in the middle and adjust from there to your taste. For heavier music you can open the bass up more.
For podcasts and speech: Reduce the bass slightly and boost the treble. This makes speech clearer.
For outdoor use: Sound disperses more easily outside, so you can push both a little higher than normal.
Remember, there’s no arguing about taste — the right settings are the ones that sound good to you!
