Headband snapped, hinge broken, or the earpads look like a dog used them as chew toys? No worries. At Valco we don’t throw headphones away because of a single broken part. That’s the whole point.
We sell spare parts and repair devices because there’s already enough electronic waste in the world. And because we want your money again.
Which spare parts are available?
The selection varies by model, but typically we offer at least these:
- Pads (ear and headband pads) – the most common spare part; they naturally wear out with use
- Headband structures and hinge parts – if the band snapped or the joint failed
- Cables (AUX, charging cables)
- Ear cup parts – case by case
Not every part will necessarily be on the shelf the exact second you need it, but we’ll check the situation quickly. Some parts may need to be ordered separately, in which case the wait may be longer.
Can you fix it yourself?
It depends on the part and your own courage.
- Pads are easy to replace at home. Twist them off and the new ones snap into place. You don’t need an engineering degree or even a screwdriver for this.
- Headband replacement is doable at home on many models, as long as you get the right part. We’ll include instructions.
- More complex repairs (electronics, drivers, Bluetooth modules) are best left to our service in Kajaani. Hannes and the rest of the service team know what they’re doing, so you don’t have to.
Rule of thumb: if the repair requires a soldering iron, let us handle it. If fingers and common sense are enough, you’ll probably manage yourself.
How do I order spare parts?
- Send a message to the address info@valco.fi
- Tell us the headphone model (e.g., VMK20, VMK25, NL25 – you can find it inside the device or in the original order)
- Describe which part broke – preferably attach a photo to avoid guesswork
- We’ll tell you whether the part is available, what it costs, and whether you can replace it yourself or need to send the device in for service
An order number is a plus, but not required. As long as we know the model and the broken part, we can get started.
If the part isn’t available or you can’t repair it yourself
Send the device to us for service in Kajaani. For out-of-warranty repairs there’s a repair package, the price of which depends on the extent of the fault. We’ll quote the price in advance, so you don’t have to worry about surprises.
We never send a device back unrepaired without informing you first. And nobody will have to sell a kidney to cover the repair bill.
