Is trade-in available for NL25?
Upgrade fever has struck. The old NL25 have served faithfully—maybe at the construction site of a backyard sauna, maybe in the fish aisle at Prisma—but now your gaze has turned toward newer models. And the first question is, of course: do the old ones get any credit?
Fair question. Let’s go over how it works.
How does the trade-in work?
Valco occasionally runs trade-in campaigns where old headphones get you a discount on a new model. These campaigns change, so the situation depends on when you get in touch.
In practice:
- Campaign periods vary. We don’t keep trade-ins open year-round, only as campaigns. Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
- The condition of the old device matters. Working headphones are more valuable than ones that have been through tractor tires and a dog’s digestive tract.
- The credit is usually a discount on the new model, not cash. So you send the old ones to us and get the new ones cheaper.
We’re not a flea market, but we understand the logic that a working device deserves a better fate than a desk drawer.
How to check the status
- Check valco.fi – if a trade-in campaign is running, it will be visible there
- Send an email to info@valco.fi – tell us which model you have and which one you’d like to upgrade to. The sales team will tell you the current terms.
- Wait for a reply. We usually reply quickly, because every sale takes us one step closer to the Death Star.
If there isn’t a campaign running right now, it’s still worth asking. Sometimes there’s wiggle room, especially if you’re a long-time customer.
What if the old NL25 are still perfectly fine?
Then you don’t need to replace them. We’re not the company that pressures you to buy new every year. NL25 is still an excellent pair of earbuds. If they work and you like the sound, keep them.
But if the upgrade fever is real—for example because of ANC performance, battery life, or some new feature—then a trade-in is the smartest way to handle it. The old headphones will go to recycling or refurbishment with us, and electronics won’t end up in a landfill for no reason.

- Which model you have now (NL25, got it)
- Which model you’re considering upgrading to
- The order number, if you remember it
We’ll handle the rest. That’s about it—except thank you for the money, since it will fund another 0.000001% of the Death Star.
