VMK25 headphones broken, I want a claim
Electronics break sometimes. It's annoying, but it's not the end of the world – at least not with us. At Valco, we don't chuck headphones in the bin after the first crack. We fix them. But let's first go through your options and how the whole thing works.
Warranty or not – that's the real question
VMK25 headphones come with a 24-month warranty. If it's been less than two years since purchase and the issue wasn't caused by your dog using them as a chew toy or you reversing over them in a car park, the warranty covers the repair.
Warranty repair means we fix the device. We don't automatically send a new one – that would be wasteful, and we've got a Death Star to fund.
If the warranty has expired or the damage is clearly your own handiwork, no worries – we've still got you covered. We have a repair package that gets your headphones sorted at a reasonable price. Nobody should have to toss working electronics into a landfill.
Here's what to do
- Find your order number. It's in your order confirmation email. If you bought from a retailer (e.g. Telia), dig up the receipt.
- Take a photo of the issue. Cracked headband, dangling ear cup, torn cushions – show us what's wrong. One clear photo will do.
- Send a message to info@valco.fi. Keep it short: what's broken, when you bought it, order number, and attach the photo.
- Wait for our reply. We'll let you know whether it's a warranty repair or a repair package, and give you instructions for sending the device to our service centre in Kajaani.
That's it. No ten-page forms to fill out or calling a number where you're on hold for 45 minutes.
Most common issues and quick tips
Before you send your headphones anywhere, check these:
- Bluetooth jumping between devices: VMK25 supports Multipoint connection, meaning two devices at once. If the connection keeps bouncing around, turn off Bluetooth on the other device or unpair the device you're not using.
- Electrical whine or weird noise: Try resetting the headphones by plugging in the 3.5mm AUX cable and then unplugging it. This resets the Bluetooth circuit.
- Cushions deteriorating: On cushions that have been used for over a year, wear is normal. Replacement cushions can be ordered separately – they come off with a twist.
- Headband cracked or ear cup hanging by a wire: This one needs servicing. Get in touch.

If you live near Kajaani, you can in principle drop the device off in person – but check with us by email first, so Jasse isn't on his lunch break when you show up.
We repair because it makes sense. And because every fixed pair of headphones brings us one step closer to that Death Star.
